Collection: Kintsugi Flora

The ancient Japanese art of Kintsugi is rooted in a philosophy that encourages acceptance and appreciation of wounds, failures, and imperfections. Instead of perceiving these flaws as shortcomings, kintsugi teaches us to see them as sources of strength and beauty. ALEXANDRA's Kintsugi collections reinterpret this philosophy by choosing the white layer of the sardonic shell for its resemblance to ceramics. The decorative motifs are hand-carved with grooves to reveal the contrasting dark background beneath. An irregular and branched engraving is added to the surface representing a fracture and its refined transformation.
